Willkommen to Christmas

December 9, 2009

Hey Asheville!

Don’t forget about The Bavarian Lodge.  On a coal black, freezing winter’s night, this treasure trove of German whimsy provides a toasty warm, festive remedy for the bitter chill.  What says Holiday more than pillowy, soft bread and herbed butter, a mug of crisp German Hefeweizen, thick and hot potato pancakes, fat, breaded pork chops, a bowl of hearty goulash, and a Christmas yodeling CD on the stereo?  Nothing, that’s what.

Once again I applaud this fine dining establishment with their commitment to a vision of authentic, traditional German food nestled in the highlands of Woodfin.  So next time you need some starchy comfort and holiday cheer, look no further than The Bavarian Lodge.  And tell your friends, too!  This delightful place is a hidden treasure, a little mountain adventure off the beaten track, and it deserves our support.
